Gogglebox Malone star rushed to hospital for surgery as he says 'hoping for good news'

Gogglebox star Tom Malone Jr has shared an emotional update on his health and asked fans to wish him luck as he is rushed to the hospital for knee surgery. The TV reality star, who is also a professional dancer, took to social media and said he has not been able to "dance properly" in the past seven months.

The 31-year-old thought he tore his meniscus knee but had only recently found out he suffered a bucket handle tear, which required surgery. After a long consultation with the doctors, he was given two options to fix the tear and one could left him with arthritis in the future. He told fans: "I'm not scared of going into surgery, but the hardest part about it all is not knowing what I'm going to be dealing with afterwards.

"I know from the outside as a dancer, it seems glamorous, and you see the big stages, you see me flying all over to different places competing, you've seen me on stage, at the stadiums and arenas, but this is another part of the dance world that people don't talk about much, so wish me luck."
