Video: Gym Owner Shot Dead in Haryana, CCTV Records Entire Attack
A shocking daylight murder in Haryana's Hansi town has left residents shaken after a gym owner was gunned down by motorcycle-borne assailants during an outdoor workout session. The entire incident was reportedly captured on CCTV, showing the attackers firing multiple rounds before escaping within seconds.
Attack Near Fawwara Chowk
The incident took place around 5:30 am on June 11 near Fawwara Chowk in Hansi. According to police, Kapil, a local gym owner, was conducting a morning exercise session for a group of young men and women near a row of shops when two attackers arrived on a motorcycle.
Witnesses said the assailants, both wearing helmets, approached Kapil and opened fire at close range.
CCTV Footage Goes Viral
A CCTV video of the attack has surfaced online and was shared on X by user Abhinav Pal. The footage reportedly shows the gunmen firing nearly 10 rounds in a matter of seconds before fleeing the scene.
Kapil suffered multiple bullet wounds to his back and head. He died on the spot before medical help could arrive.
Woman Injured During Firing
A young woman identified as Shikha, who was warming up nearby when the shooting occurred, was also injured in the attack. Police said she was hit by bullet fragments during the firing.
She was immediately taken to a private hospital in Hisar, where she is receiving treatment.
Attackers Escape on Motorcycle
After carrying out the shooting, the helmet-clad attackers sped away from the area on their motorcycle. The sudden gunfire triggered panic among people present at the workout session and nearby residents.
Police teams rushed to the scene soon after receiving information about the incident.
Crime Teams Join Investigation
Authorities quickly cordoned off the area and began collecting evidence. Given the seriousness of the case, teams from the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) and forensic experts were also called in to assist with the investigation.
Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby locations and questioning eyewitnesses to identify the attackers and trace their movements.
Motive Yet to Be Established
While preliminary reports suggest that Kapil had recently entered into a love marriage, police have not linked the killing to any specific motive so far.
Officials say all possible angles are being examined, and further investigation is underway to uncover the reason behind the brutal murder.
