Heavy rainfall likely in Himachal till Aug 1

Shimla: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast an active monsoon spell across Himachal Pradesh over the next seven days, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall, flash floods, landslides, and a rise in water levels in rivers and streams in vulnerable areas. According to the IMD, the wet spell is expected to intensify from Tuesday, with widespread rainfall likely to continue till Aug. 1. Heavy to very heavy rain is forecast at isolated places from July 28 to 31, while heavy rainfall is expected on Aug. 1.
