I, Jack Wright finale: When is the BBC One drama's final episode after delay?
BBC One audiences have been captivated by the broadcaster's newest drama, I, Jack Wright. The murder mystery series, penned by Chris Lang, renowned for Unforgotten, Innocent, The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe, launched on BBC One and BBC iPlayer earlier this month.
The six-part family thriller originally premiered in April 2025 on UandAlibi but has now reached fresh audiences following its acquisition by the BBC. I, Jack Wright has been billed as a "propulsive whodunnit" centred around family secrets. It charts the aftermath of influential businessman Jack Wright's death and the Will he leaves in his wake.
Across six episodes, his multiple wives and children battle over what remains of his estate while a determined police detective probes the circumstances surrounding his demise. The result is a mystery that sets greed, loyalty and suspicion on a collision course, reports WalesOnline.
The cast of I, Jack Wright features Nikki-Amuka Bird, John Simm, Daniel Rigby, Ruby Ashbourne-Serkis, Zoë Tapper, Percelle Ascott, Harry Lloyd and Liz Kingsman. The complete cast list can be viewed here.
I, Jack Wright commenced on Sunday, July 12, with the BBC broadcasting double episodes on Sunday and Monday evenings. However, viewers hoping to watch the penultimate and final episodes on Sunday, July 19, will be let down as the drama has been pulled from the schedule to accommodate the FIFA World Cup.
The BBC will broadcast coverage of the final from 7pm, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm. As a result, I, Jack Wright has been pushed back to Monday, 20th July.
The penultimate episode will air on BBC One at 9:15pm and will see DCI Morgan closing in on his prime suspect. The finale, meanwhile, will follow the ten o'clock news at 10:40pm on the same channel.
The concluding instalment will see Sally face the wrath of Arnaud, Rose take a huge risk, and Morgan make an arrest.
