Jalandhar: Punjab Police on Saturday claimed to have busted an alleged Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) terror module and seized an improvised explosive device (IED) packed with 1.3 kg of explosives from a suspect in Jalandhar.

Director general of police Gaurav Yadav said the module, allegedly backed by Pakistan's ISI, was being operated by foreign-based handlers. The IED, packed with shrapnel and ball bearings, indicated preparations for a high-impact attack aimed at disturbing public peace, he said.
