Jaswant Singh Khalra ase: Former DSP Jaspal Singh convicted in Khalra case untraceable, address given to jail fake

PTC Web Desk: Jaspal Singh, a former DSP convicted for life in the murder of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, remains untraceable. The address he had given to the Nabha jail authorities has turned out to be fake, the police have confirmed.

Jaspal Singh was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1995 for his role in the abduction and killing of Khalra. He walked out on interim bail in May 2023, and since then, no one seems to know where he is. According to records maintained at the Nabha jail, Jaspal Singh had listed his address as Majhi village in Hoshiarpur district. But when the police went there to check, they found the address was fake.
