July 14 deadline for SIR-2026 voter roll exercise in Gurgaon, admin seeks wider public participation
GURGAON: The Gurgaon district administration has set July 14 as the deadline to complete the collection and digitisation of voter enumeration forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR)-2026 exercise, directing officials to speed up the process and intensify public outreach to ensure maximum participation.
The deadline was reiterated by deputy commissioner Uttam Singh after a state-level review of the Election Commission's revision drive on Wednesday. Officials have been instructed to complete the exercise within the stipulated timeframe while ensuring the accuracy of the electoral roll.

The directions came after Haryana chief minister's principal secretary Arun Gupta reviewed the progress of the SIR-2026 campaign with deputy commissioners across the state through a video conference. He asked district administrations to complete the revision exercise on schedule to facilitate the preparation of an updated and error-free electoral roll.
Following the review, the Gurgaon DC Uttam Singh directed officials to accelerate the collection and online digitisation of enumeration forms and closely monitor progress at every stage. "Returning Officers to hold daily review meetings with supervisors to track the distribution, collection and digitisation of forms and resolve operational issues without delay,” said DC.
