MCom tops the charts, physics drops the ball during SCD Govt College admissions
Ludhiana: As postgraduate (PG) admissions continue across Panjab University (PU) affiliated colleges, SCD Govt College has received a mixed response, with high demand for courses like MCom and MA English , while subjects like MSc Physics and MA Hindi saw applications fall short of available seats.
The Master of Commerce (MCom) programme recorded the highest competition, drawing around 250 applications for just 40 seats. Similarly, MA English received 217 applications for 120 seats, MSc Mathematics got 100 applications for 60 seats, MA Economics received 132 applications for 120 seats, and MA Punjabi recorded 79 applicants for 60 seats.
