Mike Tindall has appeared to make a unexpected olive branch to Prince Harry on his podcast's official Instagram account. The 47-year-old is one of the hosts on the rugby-focused podcast, The Good, The Bad and The Rugby, alongside James Haskell and Alex Payne.

During his appearance on the Joe Marler Will See You Now podcast earlier this month, Harry was asked to name the "most famous person" in his phone contacts - to which he chose Mr Haskell. Speaking about the sports star, Harry said: "You've seen them play rugby, makes it a sport worth watching. Good looking guys, as well."

Clearly thrilled by the shoutout, James shared the video on the podcast's Instagram page.

He wrote: "Well, you can't argue with the Duke, can you?," before adding with a wink: "Looks like it's 1-0, Marler."

It comes just weeks after Mike's remark during an off-camera conversation at the literary festival in Powys, Wales.

Reflecting on his 2011 wedding to his wife, Zara, the former England centre expressed amusement that James managed not to embarrass himself at the ceremony.

He then spoke of Harry, adding: "A lot of other people managed that way better than you [like] Harry, when he was fun."

Mike married Zara back in July 2011, which was five years before Harry married US actress Meghan Markle.

Harry once shared a close relationship with Zara and Mike - with Harry even acting as godfather to the couple's youngest daughter, eight-year-old Lena.

Although they have not thought to have met many times since Harry's exit from the royal life, Mike is known to have visited close to Harry's Californian home in 2023 - although it remains unclear if the two of them met.
