New BT landline alert as more UK homes face switch off, check your postcode now

We're now just six months away from a huge change to the UK's communication network, and more homes have been placed on alert ahead of this seismic upgrade. From January 2027, ageing copper landlines are being discontinued, with consumers being moved to a technology called Digital Voice instead. This service uses a broadband connection to keep people connected rather than those ageing wires that have been dangling above streets for over 100 years.
