Newport fire: Evacuation after blaze erupts at Star Trading Estate

A fire erupted overnight at an industrial site in Caerleon, Newport. The blaze broke out at Star Trading Estate, prompting the deployment of firefighters from South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and Gwent Police officers.

The site was evacuated and all people have been accounted for, but the blaze continued to rip through the site for hours. As a result, 999 crews have been urging people in the area to keep their windows and doors closed, and a local cafe on the trading estate has decided to close due to the "serious" incident, Wales Online reports.
