Peter Phillips upset at wedding absentee - and it's not Prince Harry or Meghan

Peter Phillips's upcoming royal wedding is set to attract some of the biggest names in the Royal Family, but attention has turned to an unexpected absentee who is reportedly unhappy about being left out of the celebrations.

The King's nephew will marry NHS nurse Harriet Sperling next weekend in what has been described as an intimate family ceremony at All Saints' Church in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

While much of the focus has been on which royals will attend and which will stay away, reports suggest the person causing the most concern is not Prince Harry or Meghan Markle, but Harriet's former husband, fitness instructor Antonio "Dino" St John Sperling.

According to reports, Dino is upset by what he believes is an unfair portrayal of his role in the breakdown of their marriage and feels he has been largely erased from the public narrative surrounding Harriet's new life.

A source told the Daily Mail he was "not very happy" with how events had been portrayed and felt he had been "completely written out of the narrative".

The former couple share a daughter, Georgina, 13, who is said to have formed a close bond with Peter's daughters, Savannah and Isla, from his previous marriage to Autumn Kelly.

Reports suggest Dino has had little meaningful contact with his daughter in recent years, something sources close to him describe as deeply painful.

Despite the personal difficulties, it is understood he wishes Harriet and Peter well ahead of their big day.

The wedding is expected to be one of the most high-profile society events of the year, with King Charles and Queen Camilla among those expected to attend.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are also expected to play a prominent role in the celebrations, alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Several senior royals are not expected to attend, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, while Prince Andrew is also unlikely to be present.

Peter, 48, and Harriet, 45, announced their engagement in August 2025 after going public with their relationship the previous year.

Harriet, a children's nurse working for the NHS, grew up in Gloucestershire and is known for her work supporting child development and neonatal care.

The couple now live together on the Gatcombe Park estate owned by Peter's mother, Princess Anne.

Unlike some previous royal weddings, the ceremony is expected to be relatively low-key, with no grand carriage procession planned.

However, the event is still expected to attract huge public interest as members of the Royal Family gather in the Cotswolds to celebrate Peter Phillips's second marriage.

With just days to go before the ceremony, attention remains fixed not only on the guest list but also on the family tensions lingering beyond the church doors.
