Pilgrimage bus attacked near Attari border; 2 arrested

Amritsar: Two persons have been arrested for allegedly attacking the driver and pilgrims on a bus operating under the Mukhya Mantri Teerth Yatra Yojana in Amritsar district, police said on Wednesday.

Amritsar (rural) SSP Kanwalpreet Singh Chahal said two men in a Swift Dzire allegedly intercepted the bus at Defence Drain, near the Attari international border, on Tuesday and attacked the driver and some passengers with an axe.
