Police book Hindu Rastriya Sabha secretary for social media post

Madurai : Madurai city police on Saturday booked a Hindu Rastriya Sabha (HRS) functionary on charges of circulating inflammatory content on social media that could promote communal disharmony .

The accused, Krishnakumar , state secretary of HRS, is a resident of Muniyandi Kovil Street , Vaithiyanathapuram, Madurai.

According to police, during an inspection of social media activity based on credible information, they found an objectionable post uploaded on the Facebook page “Makkal Sevagan” on June 29. Police said the post could incite communal hatred and create enmity between religious communities.
