Revenue inspector arrested for taking bribe in Krishnagiri
KRISHNAGIRI : Sleuths of the Directorate Vigilance and Anti-Corruption ( DVAC ) arrested a revenue inspector in Krishnagiri district on Wednesday on charges of demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a man.
M Gopi of Dasirappalli village in Veppanahalli taluk had applied for a sub-division patta for his father’s agricultural land. “K Senthil, a revenue inspector in the district survey office, allegedly demanded Rs 10,000 to move the application forward,” said a DVAC official.

Unwilling to pay the bribe, the complainant approached the DVAC on Tuesday. Acting on the complaint, officials laid a trap and caught Senthil red-handed while receiving the chemical coated money from Gopi on Wednesday.
