Search on for suspects in Lalgudi woman's murder
Trichy: At least five special teams are searching for perpetrators in the murder of a 32-year-old woman who was found dead in a lake near Lalgudi in Trichy district on Wednesday.
Police have intensified their search extending interrogation of witnesses and suspects around Sirukalapur village and across Lalgudi. The teams are also questioning several migrant workers employed in industries in and around Lalgudi. The autopsy on the victim was conducted at Trichy GH.
The victim, a married woman and mother of two children, went missing on Tuesday evening after she went out to relieve herself. Police have not ruled out the possibility of an attempted sexual assault or outrage of her modesty, as she was found naked and bound.
