Senior Women's T20 Trophy: Ayushi Garg, Sonal Kalal star as Rajasthan thrash Saurashtra by 8 wickets

Jaipur: Rajasthan eves bounced back after suffering three straight defeats with a thumping 8-wicket victory over Saurashtra in the Senior Women's T20 Trophy Elite match at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur on Wednesday.

Saurashtra were restricted to 103/8 in 20 overs. Umeshwari Jethva (30) and Ayushi P (26) were the main contributors.

Rajasthan's Sonal Kalal was the most successful bowler with 3-20. Shanu scalped 2-17, while Archana Yogi and SL Meena chipped in with a wicket each.

Chasing a modest target, Rajasthan romped home with nine balls and eight wickets to spare. Opening batter Ayushi Garg remained unbeaten on 48. Sumitra Jat and Dimple Kanwar contributed 31 and 13, respectively.

It was the second win for Rajasthan in five matches and kept them in contention for a knock-out berth.
