Sensational Sairaj secures maiden hat-trick of titles in Nagpur Badminton meet
Nagpur: A day after he hogged the limelight with a treble of hard-fought victories, 16-year-old Sairaj Nayse dominated the proceedings to register his first hat trick of title triumphs in the GH Raisoni Memorial Nagpur District Badminton Tournament , which concluded at Subhedar Hall on Sunday.
While Sairaj underlined his supremacy by winning the men’s doubles, U-17 and U-19 boys singles finals in straight games, unseeded Shreeja Wankhede stamped her authority with stunning victories over top-ranked Sanvi Ghate in both the U-17 and U-19 girls singles summit clash. Talented Raghav Niwarti clinched the U-11 and U-13 boys singles finals to pocket twin titles, while veteran Abhinav Kundalwar registered victories in the above-35-years men’s and mixed doubles summit clash.
