Shimla police seize drug-linked assets worth Rs 2.2cr
Shimla: Shimla district police have seized illegal movable and immovable assets worth Rs 2.2 crore in two separate cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, following detailed financial investigations aimed at dismantling the economic network of drug trafficking .
In the first case registered at Kotkhai police station in 2024, investigators found that 17 accused used proceeds from drug trafficking to acquire 16 vehicles, two residential flats in Solan, and a residential house. The assets worth Rs 2 crore were found disproportionate to the accused's legitimate sources of income.
