Shivamogga youth found hanging at Murudeshwar homestay; parents suspect foul play

Bhatkal: A 25-year-old man from Shivamogga district was found hanging in a private homestay at the popular tourist destination of Murudeshwar in Uttara Kannada district. The deceased's family has expressed suspicion over the circumstances surrounding his death.

The deceased has been identified as Viresh R. (25), a resident of Kalpane village in Shikaripura taluk of Shivamogga district. His father, Rudrappa Channabasappa (55), has lodged a complaint at the Murudeshwar Police Station.

According to the complaint, Viresh had arrived in Murudeshwar four days ago along with a woman identified as Asha and was staying at a private homestay. At around 12.30 am on July 28, his body was found hanging from the ceiling fan in the room using a bedsheet cover.

The deceased's father has expressed doubts about the circumstances leading to his son's death and has urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation and take appropriate legal action.

A case has been registered at the Murudeshwar Police Station, and further investigation is underway.
