The second and most important astronomical event of this year, the annular solar eclipse, will occur on August 12, 2026. This solar eclipse is considered very special from the perspective of astrology and astronomy. Because in an annular solar eclipse the moon will completely cover the sun, hence some parts of the Earth will be plunged into darkness during the day. This annular solar eclipse on August 12 will be visible mostly in the Northern Hemisphere. This eclipse will be clearly visible in Greenland, Iceland, Spain, Russia and some parts of the Atlantic Ocean. Whereas in most of Europe, some parts of North America and northwestern Africa, it will be visible as a penumbral solar eclipse.
