Southern Railway restores eight out of 41 cancelled Chennai suburban trains
CHENNAI: Southern Railway has restored eight EMU services on the Chennai Beach–Tambaram–Chengalpet suburban corridor that were earlier scheduled to be cancelled on Sunday following a revision in the timing of engineering work.
Railways said the line and power block in the Chennai Egmore–Villupuram section between Chennai Beach and Tambaram has been rescheduled from 11am to 3pm on July 12. As a result, eight EMU services, which were notified for full cancellation earlier, will now operate as per their normal schedule.
