It's that time of year again with Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest all scheduled to kick off later this week. The four-day event will once again be hosted in sunny Los Angeles with festivities kicking off on June 5 with a two-hour long presentation stacked full of trailers for upcoming games.

While most of us won't be able to attend the show in person, we can still tune into the opening broadcast from the comfort of our own homes - and unlike The Game Awards, it's actually on at a reasonable time for us Brits. Here's what time Summer Game Fest starts and how you can watch it all unfold.

Summer Game Fest start time

The Summer Game Fest showcase is set to air at 10pm BST on June 5, 2026

. This is the same time that Sony's State of Play started earlier in the week, and while it's pretty late into the evening, it's at least achievable for us Brits to catch most of the broadcast before heading to bed.

Here's that start time translated into a few other time zones for your convenience:

  • PDT: 3:00 PM
  • EDT: 6:00 PM
  • UTC: 9:00 PM
  • CET: 11:00 PM

The opening showcase is expected to last for around two hours and will be broadcast live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Once again, Geoff Keighley will play host to the whole event with Lucy James also joining as co-host.

How to watch Summer Game Fest in the UK

The Summer Game Fest Showcase will be broadcast live on The Game Awards social channels with YouTube and Twitch being the two easiest ways to get in on the action. I've embedded the YouTube stream below.

If you can't make the show while it's live, a VOD is usually made available on The Game Awards YouTube channel soon afterwards. Of course, that also means you can relive the action even if you were there for the live event.

What to expect at Summer Game Fest 2026

For once, we're actually pretty in the dark as to what Keighley has up his sleeve for Summer Game Fest this year.

Sony hosted its own State of Play earlier in the week, showing off its biggest hitters like God of War Laufey and Marvel's Wolverine there. Xbox also has its own broadcast slated for Sunday with Gears of War E-Day and Fable expected to make their appearances at the Games Showcase.

As such, that leaves all the other third party developers and publishers open to showing off their new titles at Summer Game Fest, but leaks have been fairly few and far between so far. For my money, I reckon we're likely to see lots more of games we already know about, like Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, and maybe some new announcements from Capcom and Bandai Namco.

We'd all love to see more of Grand Theft Auto 6 during Summer Game Fest, but given how water right Rockstar seems to be about its upcoming game, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

With just over 24 hours left to go until the broadcast starts, there's not long left to wait until all is revealed.
