CCTV Captures Kaushambi LPG Tanker Crash That Triggered Deadly Fire, Four Killed

At least four people have lost their lives and two others remain injured after an LPG tanker caught fire near the Sihori Toll Plaza in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district, police said on Thursday.

The tragic LPG tanker accident took place on the morning of June 26 under the Kokhraj police station limits. The tanker was travelling from Kanpur to Varanasi when it reportedly lost control, crashed into a road divider, and triggered a massive fire.


CCTV Footage Shows Tanker Crashing Before Fire

According to police, the impact of the collision caused a gas leak, which spread rapidly before the LPG tanker burst into flames. The fire quickly engulfed the surrounding area, creating panic near the toll plaza.



CCTV footage of the incident has now surfaced, showing the speeding tanker crashing into the divider moments before the blaze erupted. The visuals capture the sequence of events leading to the devastating fire.


Tanker Driver Dies After Getting Trapped Inside Cabin

The LPG tanker driver, identified as Dharmendra Dwivedi, a resident of Mirzapur district in Uttar Pradesh, was trapped inside the vehicle's cabin after the crash.
