Many London Underground drivers are joining two 24-hour strikes this week after talks with unions over proposed changes to Tube drivers' working patterns and hours have failed. The London Underground is severely disrupted on four lines today, from 12.01am until 11.59pm. On Tuesday, no service is planned on the Circle line, the Piccadilly line, the Metropolitan line between Baker Street and Aldgate, and the Central line between White City and Liverpool Street.

There will be limited services on other lines before 6.30am, and customers should complete their journeys before 9pm, Transport for London (TfL) warned. The Jubilee Line is expected to run with minor delays due to strike actions impacting it less. Other services across the TfL network, including the Elizabeth line, DLR, London Overground, buses and trams, will run as normal, though may be significantly busier. Among the commuters who are facing huge disruption today is nurse Susan Ajayi, who told the BBC she believes today's strikes are going to make lives of people even more difficult than those taking place in April. She said: "It's going to be worse because of the rain - it's the wrong day to have a Tube strike I'm afraid. I've got patients to meet. I'm dreading taking the bus in this weather."
