Tube strikes RECAP: London Underground badly hit for second time in week - TfL delays
Tube strikes are sparking more disruption on the London Underground today following more industrial action on Tuesday. The industrial action will last from 00:01 to 23:59 BST. Transport for London (TfL) said the whole Tube network will be affected, with a reduced service on most lines. This will cause significant disruption, much as it happened on Tuesday.
The strikes have been called over a dispite on a proposed change to working hours, with Transport for London (TfL) wanting to introduce a voluntary four-day working week. A Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) spokesperson said: "Our members have raised serious concerns around fatigue, longer shifts, reduced flexibility and the impact these proposals could have in a safety-critical role." The Elizabeth Line, DLR, London Trams and London Overground will run as normal despite the industrial action, TfL said.
