UK seaside town with most fish and chip shops revealed - 2 cities have even more

Nothing says a classic British seaside holiday quite like fish and chips, whether it's eaten on the promenade in peace, or while you're fighting off the seagulls. While almost every seaside town has its own popular chippy, one destination stands out for offering more choice than anywhere else.

After analysing 50 of the UK's most popular seaside resorts, one city had more choice than anywhere else in the UK, with more than 80 options listed on TripAdvisor. Brighton claimed the top spot with an impressive 84 fish and chip restaurants. Famous for its iconic pier, bustling seafront and vibrant food scene, the Sussex city offers visitors more places to enjoy Britain's favourite seaside meal than any other destination in the rankings by by GJW Direct.

Another city came in second with 79 options. Southend-on-Sea in Essex, home to the world's longest pleasure pier and a long-standing favourite for family day trips, has no shortage of traditional chippies serving up the classic coastal staple.

When it comes to seaside towns, iconic Blackpool had the most options, coming in third overall across all seaside destinations with 75 chippies.

With its famous promenade, three historic piers and the Blackpool Tower attracting millions of visitors every year, the Lancashire resort has cemented its reputation as one of Britain's best-loved seaside destinations, and one of the easiest places to find fish and chips.
