Watch Jacob Rees-Mogg's explosive swipe at the French as he answers YOUR Brexit questions
Keir Starmer's surrender deal with the EU over fishing rights is a "disgrace" that must be reversed, Sir Jacob Rees Mogg has warned. He said the hated 12-year agreement means the French can "take our fish" but then "they don't take back their own illegal immigrants".
The searing attack came as the former Cabinet minister answered your questions about Brexit on the 10 year anniversary of the historic in/out referendum. Sir Jacob was asked by 'shavers68' why Britain continues to "roll over to the French and continue to sell out our fishermen?"
The former business secretary responded: "We cannot carry on kowtowing to the French. They take our fish and they don't take back their own illegal immigrants.
"This is a deeply unsatisfactory state of affairs and it must be changed and it can be changed if we're bold and forthright."
Sir Keir, who backed Remain then campaigned for a second referendum to overturn the Leave vote, caved into French demands last year to allow access for EU trawlers to UK waters until at least 2038 - more than 20 years after the vote to take back control.
His decision sparked widespread anger.
Sir Jacob, one of the most prominent Conservative Brexiteers, also tackles questions on why Brexit still hasn't been fully implanted, what are the advantages of being outside the EU and his thoughts on Labour's surrender to Europe.
As we celebrate a decade since Britain voted to leave the EU on June 23, 2016, please sit back and enjoy the video of the man who was at the heart of the Tory government during the Brexit years.
