Where is Tamara Trottner now? Inside No One Saw Us Leave victim's life as true story drops
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from No One Saw Us Leave.
No One Saw Us Leave has landed on Netflix with fans curious to know where daughter Tamara Trottner is now.
Dropped on Netflix today, Wednesday, October 15, the five-episode Mexican thriller is set in the 1960s when Leo Saltzman (played by Emiliano Zurita) kidnapped his own children Tamara and Isaac.
His reason for flying across the world without telling his wife and their mum Valeria of their whereabouts was because she had an affair.
No One Saw Us Leave shows a mother's desperate attempts to be reunited with her children with obstacles around every corner due to the elite Mexican Jewish community she was surrounded by.
As Leo fled with the children across the globe, their conflict escalated to an international level with the FBI and Interpol getting involved.
Tamara Trottner, one of the two children kidnapped by their father Leo, is now an author who inspired the Netflix series with her tell-all 2020 memoir No One Saw Us Leave.
The first line in her book "I have just turned five. This is the last day of my childhood", really sets the scene as she explains what really happened.
She told Mexican publication Chilango in 2022: "Today, I always say that I am, not in spite of this story, but thanks to this story I am who I am."
Tamara also told Que Leer Libros: "For two years, we travelled the world... and our perception of life, childhood, love, and security was colored by this experience."
While speaking to Chilango, the author said that she was "lucky" to have an "awesome mum", so it's safe to say she still has a good relationship with her mother despite the traumatising events.
However, in the title cards before the Netflix series' end credits, it shares that Tamara and her brother Isaac didn't meet with their dad Leo for the next 20 years.
It isn't known what their dynamic is like now after they did eventually meet up again.
Tamara doesn't share too much when it comes to her private life but it is believed that she is married, pictured with a ring on her wedding finger next to a man in Sri Lanka earlier this year.
No One Saw Us Leave is available to watch on Netflix.
