Wife Kills Husband Over Rs 8 Crore Property Dispute, Arrested After Body Discovery in Karnataka
In a shocking incident in Telangana's Uppal, a woman is accused of killing her husband and traveling over 800 kilometers to dispose of his body in Karnataka, near Bengaluru. Police revealed that the motive behind the murder was the desire to inherit assets worth approximately Rs 8 crore .
Authorities arrested three individuals in connection with the case: Niharika, the wife of the victim, her lover Nikhil, and another accomplice, Ankur. Together, they allegedly plotted the gruesome murder to access the businessman’s wealth and took drastic measures to conceal their crime by crossing state borders.
Niharika reportedly killed her husband, 55-year-old businessman Ramesh, on October 1, after he declined her request to transfer significant property into her name. Following the murder, she, along with the two other suspects, drove to a coffee estate located in Kodagu district, Karnataka, to dispose of Ramesh’s body.

The investigation commenced three weeks ago when authorities discovered an unidentified, charred body in a coffee plantation in Karnataka’s Kodagu district. Identifying the burnt remains proved to be a daunting task for law enforcement.
During the initial stages of the investigation, police reviewed CCTV footage and spotted a red vehicle of interest. This car was registered to Ramesh, whose wife had previously filed a missing person report. Consequently, the police reached out to their counterparts in Telangana for further investigation.
As the inquiry into the businessman’s murder unfolded, suspicions arose regarding the involvement of his wife. When questioned, she confessed to the murder and implicated her accomplices.
Niharika, an engineer by trade, had a tumultuous personal history. She married young, became a mother, and later divorced. She had been incarcerated for a financial fraud case in Haryana, where she met Ankur, one of the accused.
After her release, Niharika remarried Ramesh, all while being involved with Nikhil. The three of them schemed to kill Ramesh to secure his wealth, leading to this shocking turn of events.
