ICAI CA Foundation toppers May 2026 result: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the names of the top performers in the CA Foundation Examination held in May 2026 along with the declaration of the examination results. Three candidates from Maharashtra secured the top positions in the national merit list, with Sakshi Jain emerging as the All India first rank holder.

The merit list released by ICAI includes the names, cities, roll numbers, marks and percentages of the top three candidates. The highest score recorded in the examination was 371 marks, while the top three candidates each secured more than 91 per cent.

Top three rank holders

Sakshi Jain leads the merit list
Sakshi Jain from Nashik secured the All India first rank in the CA Foundation May 2026 examination. She obtained 371 marks, translating to 92.75 per cent, the highest score recorded in this session.


Her performance placed her at the top of the national merit list released by ICAI following the declaration of the examination results.

Second and third ranks
The All India second rank was secured by Ayanabbas Ajani from Chandrapur. He scored 367 marks and achieved 91.75 per cent.

Radha Unmesh Mulay from Pune secured the All India third rank with 365 marks, corresponding to 91.25 per cent.

The difference between the first and second ranks was four marks, while only two marks separated the second and third positions.


Merit list reflects strong performances
The three highest-ranked candidates all secured more than 91 per cent in the examination. The marks announced by ICAI show a closely contested merit list, with each of the top three candidates separated by only a few marks.

The top score of 371 marks was followed by 367 and 365 marks respectively, highlighting the narrow margin among the leading performers.

Examination conducted across India and abroad
ICAI stated that the CA Foundation Examination held in May 2026 was conducted across 609 examination centres in India and abroad.

A total of 1,06,144 candidates were admitted for the examination, while 90,217 candidates appeared. Out of those who appeared, 18,124 candidates qualified, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 20.09 per cent.
