CBSE 12th Re-Evaluation 2026: New Link Released After Portal Issues; Students Can Now Apply Easily

Newspoint

The Central Board of Secondary Education has introduced a new website link for Class 12 students applying for re-evaluation after many candidates faced technical issues while trying to access scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets.

The move is expected to provide relief to students who were unable to complete the application process due to heavy traffic and repeated portal crashes after the re-evaluation window opened on May 19, 2026.

CBSE Launches New Link for Re-Evaluation Applications

According to the latest update, CBSE has resolved the technical problems affecting the portal and released a fresh application link for students seeking re-evaluation.

Students who wish to apply for re-evaluation must first request scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets. After reviewing the copies carefully, they can apply for verification, rechecking, or re-evaluation if they believe:

  • Marks have been awarded incorrectly
  • Totalling errors exist
  • Answers were not properly evaluated

Applications must be submitted within the prescribed deadline announced by the board.

CBSE Earlier Admitted Technical Problems

Before launching the new link, CBSE had officially acknowledged that students were facing technical glitches while applying for scanned answer sheets.

The board had issued a notice stating that experts were working to resolve the issue and expected the portal to become functional again by 2:00 PM on May 20.

Due to server overload and high traffic, many students and parents had reported difficulties accessing the website.

Deadline Extended After Website Crash

Following widespread complaints, CBSE extended the last date for applying for scanned copies of answer sheets.

Initially, the deadline was set for May 22, 2026, but after students struggled to access the portal, the board extended the application deadline to May 23, 2026.

The extension aims to ensure that all eligible students get enough time to complete the process without technical interruptions.

Why Students Are Seeking Re-Evaluation

The CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 sparked strong reactions from students, parents, and teachers, with many raising concerns over unexpectedly low scores.

Several reports linked the issue to the newly introduced On-Screen Marking (OSM) system used this year for evaluation.

In response to growing concerns, CBSE and the Education Ministry held a press conference on May 17 and announced the re-evaluation process for Class 12 students starting from May 19.

How the Re-Evaluation Process Works

The re-evaluation process generally involves multiple stages:

  • Apply for scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets
  • Review the answer sheets carefully
  • Apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation if discrepancies are found
  • Wait for the board’s final revised result
  • Students are advised to keep checking the official CBSE portal regularly for updated links, timelines, and instructions related to the re-evaluation process.
