The technical issues which are ongoing on the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) revaluation and answer sheet portal has created frustration and anger among the large numbers of students who wanted their copies revaluated. There have been all sorts of problems from blurry scanned copies of answer sheets and students have taken to social media to express concerns regarding this. Students are calling this a very stressful and unfair process during a crucial academic period.

The controversy had begun shortly after the CBSE authorities opened their portal for Class 12 students to apply for scanned copies of their answer sheets and revaluation requests. Many students had reported that the website crashed, showed ‘server busy’ errors, or failed to process payments despite money being deducted from bank accounts.

Several students had shared screenshots online claiming that they were unable to complete applications despite multiple attempts.

‘We Are Already Stressed’

For many students, the glitches have added to the pressure that already surrounds board examination results. Students argued that the revaluation process directly impacts college admissions, entrance examinations, and future career plans.

“We are already stressed about marks and admissions. Technical problems like this only increase anxiety,” said a Class 12 student from Delhi while reacting on social media.

Another student from Noida wrote that the blurry answer sheets made it impossible to properly check whether marks had been awarded correctly. “How can we request rechecking if we cannot even read the answers clearly?” the student questioned.

The hashtag related to CBSE portal glitches quickly began trending on X and Instagram as students demanded immediate fixes and deadline extensions.

And all this is happening while many students are simultaneously preparing for NEET again, recovering from JEE, or running between CUET exams and college admission deadlines.

The frustration online has crossed the point of normal complaints. Students are openly questioning whether their papers were evaluated properly in the first place.

Problems faced both by students and teachers

The biggest trigger now is the scanned copies of answer sheets uploaded through CBSE’s post-result system.
Students and parents have been posting screenshots on X showing pages so blurred and faded that even basic numbers, symbols and words looked unclear. Several posts quickly went viral.

One user wrote: "Are students a joke? Copies have been scanned so poorly that in many places, students themselves can’t read their own writing."

Concerns are not coming only from students and parents. A CBSE school teacher from Lucknow described this year’s Class 12 evaluation process as deeply disorganised.

"The answer-checking process for Class 12 this year was chaotic. Teachers received answer sheets in multiple sets," the teacher said.

He explained that unlike previous years, evaluators did not receive all answer sheets together. "After finishing one set and completing all the work, another set was sent a week later. This happened three times for the English subject," he said.

CBSE Response

In a fresh post on X, the Board stated, “The portal for applying for scanned copies of Class XII answer books is now fully functional. We thank students, parents, and schools for their patience and cooperation."

CBSE further acknowledged that heavy traffic on the portal could occasionally lead to delays, particularly in payment status updates. “Students are advised that due to the high volume of requests, temporary delays may occasionally be experienced, particularly in payment status updates. In such cases, repeated submissions should be avoided," the Board said.

Despite the clarification, several students continue to voice concerns on X, alleging persistent issues such as CAPTCHA errors, login failures, server crashes and payment-related problems while attempting to apply for re-evaluation.

While one X user called it a 'nice joke", another said “It’s been 36+ hours , no update , 2 times the payment failed , amount was deducted 3 times but it still says payment is pending."
