Central Bank of India announces 4500 apprentice posts: Check how to apply from June 12

Central Bank of India has released a notification for the engagement of apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the financial year 2026–27. The bank will fill a total of 4,500 training seats across India. The online registration process will begin on 12 June 2026 and will continue till 22 June 2026. The online examination is expected to be held in the first week of July 2026.

The bank has stated that the selection will be done through an online test conducted by BFSI SSC, followed by a test of the local language of the respective state. Candidates will also have to clear document verification and medical fitness requirements before final engagement.

For eligibility, candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The age limit is 20 to 28 years as on 31 May 2026. Age relaxation will be applicable for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD and other reserved categories as per government rules.

The duration of apprenticeship will be 12 months. Selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs 15,000 per month. The bank has clarified that apprentices will not be entitled to any additional allowances or permanent employment after completion of training. A state-wise distribution of seats has also been released.

The selection process will include a 100-mark online objective test covering general financial awareness, quantitative aptitude, reasoning, computer knowledge, English, and banking products and services. There will be no negative marking in the exam.
