Jammu & Kashmir School Summer Vacation: There is welcome news for children across the country who have been struggling with the scorching heat. While schools have reopened in states like Delhi, UP, MP, Bihar, Haryana, and Punjab following the summer break, one state has taken a remarkable decision with the children's health in mind. This state has announced a fresh round of holidays for its schools, much to the delight of the students.

This decision has been taken by the Jammu & Kashmir administration. In view of the steadily rising heat and humidity in the Jammu Division, the government has ordered the closure of all government and private schools from July 6 to July 19, 2026. While children in other parts of the country are compelled to carry heavy school bags and attend classes, students in Jammu have received an additional two weeks of holidays. Meanwhile, schools in several districts of Uttar Pradesh declared a 'rainy day' holiday today due to heavy rainfall.
