NEET PG 2025: NBEMS Cancels Results Of 22 Candidates For Unfair Means, Counselling Likely By Mid-October
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has taken strict action against malpractice in the NEET PG exam, cancelling the results of 22 candidates. According to the official notification, 21 candidates were found guilty of using unfair means during the examination, while one result was cancelled as per a Karnataka High Court directive.This counselling round will determine postgraduate medical seat allotments across India.
The board’s Examinations Ethics Committee confirmed that the candidature of the 21 individuals has been permanently revoked. Their scorecards, along with those of one additional candidate from 2025 and others from 2021 to 2024, are now invalid.
The affected candidates’ NEET PG results stand cancelled and are not valid for employment, PG admission, or any other educational purpose, said NBEMS.
Out of the 22 candidates, 13 were from the NEET PG 2025 session. The others belong to earlier batches, reflecting NBEMS’s continuing efforts to ensure fairness and integrity in the medical entrance process.
The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) announced via X (formerly Twitter) that after discussions with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), NEET PG 2025 counselling is expected to begin in the third week of October 2025.
