NEET: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct a mock drill on Saturday to assess preparations for the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled for June 21. To ensure the re-exam is foolproof and maintains transparency and fairness, over 5,500 centers have been transformed into impregnable fortresses. Responsibility for security has been entrusted to between 200,000 and 250,000 police personnel.

Paramilitary forces, numbering 15,000, have been assigned the task of transporting question papers and securely retrieving answer sheets. To ensure a transparent conduct of the exam, 150,000 additional cameras and 15,000 jammers have been installed. NTA Director General Abhishek Singh stated that a mock drill would be held on Saturday to prepare for the June 21 exam. The entire examination process will be rehearsed during the drill, which will run from 9 AM to 8 PM. Police, paramilitary forces, the district administration, and on-duty personnel will all participate.

Most examination centers are already equipped with CCTV cameras, and the NTA has taken over access to these feeds. Monitoring will take place not only at the NTA headquarters in Delhi but also at other locations. Surveillance of classrooms and examination centers will be handled by a special team for security reasons, while the district administration and police departments—under the state government—will monitor the center gates and the roads outside.

**Exam Under Three-Tier Security Cover**

A senior official explained that, previously, there was only a single security perimeter for NTA exams. However, in light of exam leaks and irregularities, a three-tier security cordon involving investigative agencies has been established. The outer perimeter will be managed by the District Magistrate's team, the second by the state-level authorities (state police), and the third (inside the exam center) by a special security team from the central government. Senior officials have been deployed for this purpose. The objective is to ensure that no personnel on duty at any level can be negligent regarding the security cordon. Live monitoring of all three security tiers will be conducted via separate CCTV feeds.
