In the latest notice, SSC informed candidates that the option-cum-preference window, which was earlier scheduled to close on June 23, has been extended by two more days.

Candidates who have not yet submitted their preferences or wish to make changes can do so through the official SSC portal before the revised deadline.

Why is option-cum-preference important?

SSC has clearly stated that candidates must submit their option-cum-preference form within the prescribed period.

Candidates who fail to submit their preferences will not be considered for any post during the First Round of Tentative Allocation (FRTA) or final selection process. The commission has also clarified that no additional opportunity will be provided after the deadline.

How to submit SSC CHSL 2025 option-cum-preference?

Candidates can follow these steps:

  • Visit the official SSC website.
  • Log in using your registration credentials.
  • Open the "My Application" section.
  • Click on the CHSL 2025 option-cum-preference link.
  • Select the preferred posts and departments carefully.
  • Review the choices and submit the form.
  • Download and save a copy for future reference.

Can candidates edit their preferences?

Yes. SSC has allowed candidates to revise their option-cum-preference choices multiple times during the active submission period.

However, only the preferences submitted through the "Submit" button before the deadline will be treated as final and considered for post allocation.
