Speaking on the security measures for the NEET-UG exam, the Director General (DG) revealed that instances of malpractice had been reported from Lakhisarai, Bihar. Attempts were made to smuggle mobile phones into the exam hall and have candidates appear for the test on behalf of others. However, thanks to the NTA’s multi-layered security framework—specifically a three-tier security system—all the accused were caught red-handed. He warned that strict legal action would be taken against those attempting to incite panic by circulating fake videos or posts.
