Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga Opens Up About Ranbir Kapoor's Call Post 'Kabir Singh': 'I didn't read any messages...'
Last year, Sandeep Reddy Vanga achieved blockbuster success with his film 'Animal,' featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. The filmmaker recently disclosed that Ranbir Kapoor had reached out to him well before the production of 'Animal,' following the release of ' Kabir Singh ,' which starred Shahid Kapoor.
In a recent interview with Dainik Bhasker, Sandeep revealed that he has reduced the frequency of checking his text messages, citing the prevalent use of WhatsApp as the primary mode of communication.
He recounted an incident with Ranbir Kapoor, mentioning that Ranbir had sent him a text message. Unfortunately, Sandeep missed it because he had formed a habit of neglecting messages, attributing it to the widespread use of WhatsApp. Sandeep also reminisced about a similar scenario with Anil Kapoor, who had also sent him a message that he had unintentionally ignored.
He clarified that he frequently overlooks reading specific messages because of the high volume of messages from sources such as banks and Facebook. When asked about the potential involvement of Ranbir Kapoor in the 2019 Hindi remake of Arjun Reddy, Kabir Singh, Sandeep promptly replied, stating that Ranbir had clearly expressed his unwillingness to take on a remake.
Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani played the main roles in Kabir Singh, while Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey were the lead actors in Arjun Reddy.
The film 'Animal,' which debuted in both Hindi and Telugu versions, received a strong positive response at the box office. It was released on December 7 and stars Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, and Anil Kapoor, among other prominent actors. Presently, the movie is accessible for streaming on an OTT platform.
