Ranbir Kapoor showcased his wild side reminiscent of ' Animal ' at a recent awards ceremony . The acclaimed actor, nominated for various Best Actor awards, including the News18 Showsha Reel Awards 2024, was spotted at a prestigious event in Gujarat. The ceremony, emceed by Karan Johar and Ayushmann Khurrana, saw Ranbir seated among the audience. A video capturing moments from the event made rounds on social media, highlighting Ranbir's presence as Karan and Ayushmann took charge of the hosting duties.
In the video, Karan appeared to be asking Ranbir for help. “Ranbir hi kar sakta hai, Ranbir hi karega, Ranbir ko hi karna chahiye, Ranbir must help us,” Karan said, addressing Ranbir. An irritated Ranbir cut him off and repeated his dialogue from Animal, “Sunayi de raha hai, behra nahi hoon main (I can listen, I am not deaf).” Karan was stunned by his reaction. Despite Ranbir appearing angry, it seemed like it was all part of the performance the trio was orchestrating for the awards show.

Ranbir portrayed an intense character as the son in "Animal," a film centered on the turbulent dynamics between a father and his offspring. His performance earned him the Best Actor award at the ceremony, where he paid tribute to his late father, Rishi Kapoor, in his heartfelt acceptance speech. “I’d like to dedicate this award to is Mr Rishi Kapoor – Papa Meri Jaan. Everyday I think of you, I remember you. And everything I feel for you…the love, the affection I try to channelise it through this part and I hope you are up there in peace and resting,” he said.
He also honored Sandeep Vanga Reddy, the director of Animal, and his daughter, Raha Kapoor, in his acceptance speech. He further shared that he affectionately calls Raha "naughty."
