On October 7th KST, BTS’s RM took the spotlight at the 29th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) with the world premiere of his first documentary, 'RM: Right People, Wrong Place.' Screened at the Open Cinema section, the film marked the first K-pop documentary to be officially invited to this prestigious segment, and BIFF described it as a special journal capturing the essence of youth.
Despite heavy rain, fans and global audiences filled the outdoor theater at the Busan Cinema Center. The film’s director, Lee Seok Joon, along with key contributors like Balming Tiger’s San Yawn and music director Junkyard (JNKYRD), greeted the crowd before the screening. RM’s candid interview in the film truly moved the audience, where he reflected, “This documentary captures the raw, human side of Kim Nam Joon,” showcasing the blend of his roles as both the leader of BTS and a solo artist. He added, “What’s ‘Right’ and ‘Wrong’ constantly changes depending on our perspective. Through this work, I’ve come to believe that I’m one of the ‘Right’ people.”
