Amarnath Yatra 2026: Second batch of 3,865 pilgrims leave Jammu
JAMMU: The second batch of pilgrims departed the Yatri Niwas base camp for the holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath Ji early Friday. As a precautionary measure, J&K administration issued an advisory late Thursday, warning that non-registered yatris would not be allowed to undertake the yatra.
Of 3,865 pilgrims in the second batch, 1,735 left via the shorter Baltal route and 2,130 opted for the traditional Nunwan-Pahalgam route , escorted by armoured vehicles and security personnel.
