Free Medical Care For All Indians Over Age 70: Government Announces New Scheme
President Droupadi Murmu announced today that all Indian citizens aged above 70 years will receive free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme .
In addition, she mentioned that the establishment of 25,000 Jan Aushadhi Kendras across the country is progressing rapidly, while addressing the joint session of Parliament.
President Murmu stated, "Under the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY), free health services are being provided to 55 crore beneficiaries."
