Hologram Aadhaar Card: Why The ₹75 PVC Version Offers Better Security Than The Paper Aadhaar
Millions of Aadhaar holders continue to use the paper identity card they received after enrolment, often preserving it with lamination. While it remains a valid proof of identity, the paper version is vulnerable to wear and tear, fading, bending and water damage over time. To provide a more secure and long-lasting alternative, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) issues the PVC Aadhaar card , widely recognised as the Hologram Aadhaar Card , for a fee of ₹75.
