The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast rain activity in Delhi-NCR, while Mumbai remains under a weather alert as the southwest monsoon continues to strengthen over the west coast.

Delhi weather today: Rain chances rise, relief from heat likely

Delhi residents may get relief from the recent heat as cloudy skies and spells of rain are expected in parts of the national capital region. The IMD has indicated chances of showers accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds in Delhi-NCR as monsoon conditions become more favourable over north India.

The weather department has been monitoring the delayed progress of the monsoon over parts of north India, with conditions now becoming supportive for further advance in the coming days.


Rain continues in Mumbai; yellow alert issued

Mumbai is likely to witness another spell of monsoon rain on Monday, June 29. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, including nearby areas, warning of thunderstorms, lightning, moderate rainfall and gusty winds.

The Konkan region, including areas around Mumbai, is expected to see increased rainfall activity as monsoon winds strengthen along the coast.
