She had tied the knot with Nitin on April 30 in an arranged marriage.

According to her family, no dowry was given at the time of the wedding. However, shortly after the marriage, she was subjected to mental and physical harassment.

The family claimed she was pressured to bring gold and cash from her parental home.

The family also alleged that Nitin monitored Vishakha's movements constantly through CCTV cameras, leading to confrontations and assaults for routine interactions with neighbors.
