LPG Price Update: Gas Cylinder Rates Revised on May 5, Check Latest City-Wise Changes
Gas cylinder prices in India have seen a fresh round of changes, with commercial LPG rates continuing their upward climb. While households get some relief with unchanged domestic cylinder prices, businesses are feeling the pressure of repeated hikes.
On June 1, commercial cylinder prices were increased significantly, and on June 5, a further rise of around ₹42 was recorded in many regions. Domestic LPG cylinders, however, have stayed stable since March, offering some comfort to regular consumers despite broader fuel cost fluctuations.
At present, a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder costs between ₹910.50 and ₹1,002.50 across major Indian cities.
City-Wise LPG Cylinder Prices
In Delhi, a domestic LPG cylinder is priced at ₹913.0, while a commercial cylinder costs ₹3,071.5.
In Mumbai, domestic rates stand at ₹912.5, with commercial cylinders priced at ₹3,024.0.
Kolkata sees slightly higher domestic pricing at ₹939.0, and commercial cylinders at ₹3,202.5.
In Chennai, a domestic cylinder costs ₹928.5, while commercial usage is priced at ₹3,237.0.
Bengaluru records ₹915.5 for domestic cylinders and ₹3,152.0 for commercial ones.
Amritsar shows higher domestic rates at ₹954.0, with commercial cylinders at ₹3,178.0.
In Chandigarh, domestic cylinders are priced at ₹922.5, while commercial ones cost ₹3,092.5.
Small Cylinder Price Also Increased
The 5-kg “Chhotu” LPG cylinder under the Free Trade LPG scheme has also become costlier. In Delhi, its price has gone up by ₹11, now standing at ₹821.50.
