Modi, Prabowo inaugurate temple restoration project
NEW DELHI: PM Narendra Modi joined Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in inaugurating the Prambanan temple compound restoration and conservation project - a Unesco world heritage - marking yet another site with India's civilisational imprint which his govt has helped revive in a foreign country.
"This initiative is a shining example of the enduring civilisational bonds between India and Indonesia, rooted in a shared heritage that has connected our people for centuries," Modi said. Preserving such heritage is about safeguarding the traditions that continue to inspire generations, he said, adding that India is privileged to partner with Indonesia in this endeavour.
