NEW DELHI: Former Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin on Friday said no decision has been taken yet on whether he will contest a byelection to return to the assembly.

His remarks came amid speculation that he may contest the Trichy East constituency, vacated by his successor and incumbent chief minister, C Joseph Vijay .

Vijay, an actor-turned-politician, retained the Perambur constituency in Chennai and gave up the Trichy East seat, where he had also won, necessitating a by-election.
